Agave Roja

Since 2012, two well-traveled gringos; one of them a seasoned chef, decided to open a hip tequila bar in Corolla, NC. They wanted their food quality to match their tequila selection, so they developed a menu featuring contemporary Mexican dishes alongside Latin-inspired seafood preparations and premium meats.

What started as a tequila bar has become the only Outer Banks destination for modern Mexican cuisine. Colorful and friendly, Agave Roja represents casual cool, neither the interior nor the food is formally upscale, yet both exceed typical Americanized Mexican restaurant standards.
